What Is ProQuIn?

ProQuIn is a system that controls, manages and unifies most fundamental business processes that exist within an average small service based business. These processes include:

• Prospecting for new customers
• Quotations
• Purchases
• Job allocation
• Stock Control
• Delivery management
• Invoice and Credit management

What is ProQuin Fundamentals?

It contains the fundamental elements to get control into your business without you having to learn how to be an accountant or break the bank when making the purchase.

So is ProQuin like an accounts system?

No. ProQuIn can integrate with some common accounts systems, but it is not meant to replace them.

It is often the case with small businesses that accounts systems, focus on accounts and include other features as add-ons. ProQuIn is specifically focussed on operational requirements. Whilst it provides dynamic indications of job profitability and reports on sales and operational performance, management accountancy and detailed profitability assessments still need to be managed with a dedicated accounts system.

Do we have to change the way we work to suit ProQuin?

Generally no. The software is modular and configurable to suit most needs. However, if the business has poor operational controls and is operated in a chaotic manner, then ProQuIn will assist in putting control and consistency into the business to allow it to grow.

Customisation options are also available for certain industries so the software can fit most operations one way or another.

Can manufacturing businesses use this software?

The software is designed for service, or service manufacturing businesses. By service manufacturing we mean manufacturing to order. So jobbing shops or manufacturers of bespoke furniture or windows, conservatories etc could benefit.

Businesses involved in the continuous manufacture of standard products could benefit, but are likely to be better off with systems that include a MRP element.

Is this the same as Quality Management System software?

Not quite. It provides a great deal of the guidance and controls required in something like ISO 9000, for example, but it is not a panacea.

However, the need for extensive documentation can be massively reduced simply through implementation and further document reduction can be achieved through use of the Procedural Help feature.

Is it difficult to implement?

Our customers tell us it is not.

The single user version is a simple install which sets itself up and typically takes a few minutes to set up. The network version requires a server install and individual client install so this takes a little longer.

Some external assistance may be required in certain cases, according to level of experience of the personnel implementing the system.

Can I easily import customers and supplier from existing databases?

Yes. The Enterprise version comes with a dedicated import and export utility to handle the setup process. Most common databases are accommodated.

What does the Service Support Contract Include?

A set number of support hours on the phone and by email are included according to the level of contract selected.
