IT Job applications rise by 17 percent in early 2008
Applications for IT Jobs have risen by 17 percent in the first two months of 2008 report leading IT Recruitment agency CV Screen.
The figures monitor applications made in the last three months of 2007 against the first two months of 2008 and suggest that the New Year, New Job adage is very much alive.
CV Screen's Matthew Iveson commenting on the findings suggested that despite fears of a slowdown, confidence is still high within the IT industry "We've not only noticed an increase in the number of applicants, but also in the number of new IT vacancies being registered."
With fears surrounding the global economy, Iveson added "Despite fears surrounding the credit crunch, CV Screen registered a record number of IT Jobs in February which is testament to our success and also a sign that the market is still buoyant in the early months of 2008."
